Design
Design: Our design office is equipped with the latest
Solidworks and AutoCAD software. This allows us
to quickly convert customers concept ideas into
3D computer models, CNC programs & production
drawings. We are able to import component information
in all of the main formats including iges, step
& dxf . The years of diverse experience enjoyed
by our design engineers means that we are able
to offer practical assistance whatever your design
requirements may be.
Tooling
Design: We have many years experience designing tools
for our own requirements as well as those of customers
from around the world. Our designers are familiar
with design for production issues, maintenance
& repair requirements & the need for cost
control. We can design low cost tooling for low
volume work & tooling suited to high volume
semi or automatic injection moulding applications.
We can advise on plastics selection & suggest
ways to optimise component design to reduce tool
& part costs.

Component
Design: Our years of mould tool design experience has equipped
us to assist in the optimisation of component design
for manufacture. We have experience in the design of
plastic components based on client specifications for
a diverse range of high spec. engineering applications.
Where components have traditionally been machined from
solid, we have the expertise to fine tune the part design
to make it suitable for injection moulding. As part
of the design process we also recommend suitable thermoplastics
and options for additives. We take a great pride in
solving our customers design problems and coming up
with innovations to minimise manufacturing costs.
Special
Purpose Machines: Hymids "one stop shop" approach means that
the design of special purpose machines was a logical
step for us. We have experience in the design of electrical
pneumatic & hydraulically actuated machines for
a wide variety of process automation requirements. Our
sophisticated modelling software means that we can animate
& visualise a machines operation to test for function
& interference before any expensive manufacture
takes place.
Jigs
& Fixtures & Machined Components: Hymid designs a wide variety of jigs & fixtures
for assembly and production to back up injection moulding
activities. Alongside this we will provide any machined
inserts that may or may not need to go into your mouldings.
We also manufacture jigs & fixtures for many other
engineering applications to customers unique specifications.
File
Formats: We can handle a wide range of file formats including
DXF, IGES, STL, STEP, DWG, ACIS and Parasolid file formats.
3D
Modelling : We work closely with customers on component and product
design. Utilising the latest in 3D software we can ensure
the that our production tooling meets with the required
functional and aesthetic requirements for your needs.
Our advanced software suite helps customers to quickly
visualise the end product.
Customer
Service : Above all, we believe in customer service and work with
our clients throughout the entire design process. By
taking the time to talk to you we can ensure that our
interpretation of your preliminary ideas results in
the end product that you want. The ease of modern communications
