One out of sixty shortlisted images out of 800 entries, Hymid were delighted to be invited to the celebratory event at the House of Commons Terrace on December 9th. The EEF (the Manufacturer's Organisation) teamed up with the Made by Britain campaign, a project run by the Associate Parliamentary Manufacturing Group to inspire a new public perception and celebrate British design and manufacturing. The event aimed to recognise the amateur, professional and young photographers that were shortlisted: to promote UK engineering and to challenge the perceived image of engineering & manufacturing as a whole. With rousing speeches from eminent engineering personalities such as Barry Sheerman – Associate Parliamentary Manufacturing Group and Terry Scuoler, Chief Executive, EEF. MP for Torbay, Adrian Sanders, joined Hymid representatives to support South West Manufacturing at the event. The shortlisted images are to be published in a large-format 'coffee table' book which will feature several images from each shortlisted, plus a write-up of the techniques used to capture the photographs. Hymid submitted an image of ETI's 'Superfast' Thermapen - the fastest-selling digital thermometer in the world. Regularly seen on TV programmes such as Masterchef and The Great British Bake Off, Hymid currently produces water-resistant casing in thirteen colours. The Thermapen thermometer is sold worldwide with over 75,000 being exported to the United States alone in 2011. It remains British-made, using British manufacturing and mainly British components. The Thermapen won 'Highly Commended' in the Consumer Product Design category at the 2011 Plastics Industry Awards. Hymid Multi Shot specialises in the manufacture of two-shot plastic injection moulding; there are only six recognised providers in the UK of this process which requires a higher level of technical input than single impression production. Twin shot moulding enables two materials or two parts to be moulded simultaneously to produce complex parts that have hard/soft features, integral windows, grips and seals, reducing the need for second operations and improving component quality.

I recently found a coat that really elevates a cold-weather outfit while remaining comfortable for all-day wear. The Kelly Reilly Yellowstone Fur Shawl Collar Coat combines elegance with functionality, making it a must-have for those who love chic outerwear.
Bohemian dog naming styles often reflect creativity, independence, and a love for individuality. These names rarely feel rigid or traditional. Instead, they sound artistic and relaxed, as if they were discovered rather than chosen. Names such as Echo, Nova, Willow, or Arlo often suit dogs that are observant and emotionally aware. They feel personal without being private. When narrowing options, exploring Gupsy dog names can feel intuitive because these names rely more on mood than meaning. They are easy to adapt to different tones, whether spoken softly or firmly. That flexibility makes them practical for training and daily communication. These names also tend to age well, shifting from playful to thoughtful as the dog matures. Socially, they are usually well…
The EEF Photography Awards ‘Made in Britain’ beautifully showcase British innovation, creativity, and manufacturing excellence. It’s inspiring to see how talent and hard work shape the future of UK industries. As a university student, I recently had an assignment related to this theme, but managing time was tough. That’s when I discovered Academic Editing Help Service, which really supported me with capstone project formatting and review. Their guidance ensured my work was polished, timely, and aligned with academic standards. Highly recommend their professional assistance!
The EEF Photography Awards highlight the exceptional talent within the UK, showcasing the artistry that defines our nation's creative spirit. As someone balancing academic pursuits, I found that utilizing online marketing exam taking services allowed me to focus on my studies without compromising my passion for the arts. This approach enabled me to manage both effectively.
I really enjoyed this post about creativity and recognition in the photography field. It reminds me how, just like visuals can bridge cultures, research also needs clear communication across languages. That’s why a Medical Journal Translation Service can be so valuable it helps researchers make their studies understandable to global audiences while keeping the original meaning and scientific accuracy intact.
